David Bennett works closely with other leaders and analysts on the Risk Analytics team to support client relationships, enhance analyses, produce additional research, and foster new business opportunities. Mr. Bennett joined MountainView in 2016 from Compass Analytics, where he was Managing Director and responsible for hedging pipeline risks for mortgage originators, building out custom client settings within CompassPoint and developing new products and models for the mortgage servicing rights asset. He previously served as MSR Manager at Fifth Third Bank and was responsible for model maintenance, portfolio management, and valuation. Dave earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Princeton University.

Mark Garland Mark Garland

Mark Garland leads the operations of MountainView Independent Pricing Service, MountainView Servicing Group and MountainView Risk Advisors. In this role, Mr. Garland oversees the group’s research and modeling of the variables and scenarios affecting the value of fixed income securities, residential whole loans and residential mortgage servicing rights. Before joining MountainView in 1997, Mark served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Vice President of Portfolio Management at PNC Mortgage, Director of Internal Audit at Source One Financial Services, and Senior Auditor at Peat Marwick. He earned the CPA designation, and he holds a BBA degree in Accounting and an MBA degree in Finance from Wayne State University in Detroit.

Kris Bajtelsmit is responsible for risk profiling of the residential mortgage servicing rights asset. In this role, Mr. Bajtelsmit creates and implements risk models and produces risk analysis for clients. He also develops asset and market research. Before joining MountainView, Kris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theoretical Mathematics from the University of Colorado in May 2007 and a MSBA with an emphasis in Financial Risk Management from Colorado State University in May 2011.

Sylvia Blake Sylvia Blake

Sylvia Blake is responsible for organizing, analyzing, managing and reporting the data received from MountainView’s MSR clients. Ms. Blake also provides input to MountainView’s senior servicing analysts for their valuation reports. Sylvia has been with the company for six years and previously worked as a Business Technologist in the IT Department at Sun Microsystems. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology, a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems, and a Master’s degree in Telecommunications from the University of Denver.
Jason Dekdebrun Jason Dekdebrun

Jason Dekdebrun focuses on mortgage servicing rights valuation and risk profiling, prepayment model calibration, stochastic interest rate modeling, and fixed income risk analysis. In this role, Mr. Dekdebrun produces industry and market research that keeps clients apprised of trends and helps them with model calibration and validation and modeling techniques and output. Before joining MountainView in 2015, Jason worked as Senior Analyst for DataVision Consulting, where he oversaw the work of the analytics department and participated in the team’s data analysis, damage modeling and exposure assessment for clients. He earned a Master of Science degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Colorado State University.

Robert Herlund Robert Herlund

Robert Herlund is focused on developing and maintaining research around current prepayment, credit, and other significant modeling trends across the industry as well as developing and assisting clients with implementation of resulting analytical models and tools based on that research. Mr. Herlund has 20 years of risk management experience and most recently served as Director, MSR Valuation and Risk Management at PHH Mortgage. In his role with PHH, Bob was directly responsible for MSR and enterprise risk measurement, performance attribution, hedging strategy and execution. He also worked at Fannie Mae, Credit Suisse and GE Capital throughout his career and graduated from the University of New Mexico with a concentration in economics.

Cynthia Horacek Cynthia Horacek

Cynthia Horacek is responsible for importing, normalizing and analyzing clients’ loan data files and running data reports. In this role, Ms. Horacek has monthly interaction with approximately 25 of MountainView’s MSR portfolio valuation clients. Cindy joined the company 22 years ago and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Northern Arizona University.
Jennifer Kritzik Jennifer Kritzik

Jennifer Kritzik is responsible for providing mortgage servicing rights analytics, assisting clients in developing accounting strategies to handle the MSR asset, and aiding in risk assessment of the asset. Before joining the company in 1999, Ms. Kritzik worked as an external auditor for Ernst & Young. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Joo Kwon Joo Kwon

Joo Kwon is at the front end of MountainView’s MSR valuation work. Ms. Kwon is responsible for receiving and organizing data from clients, analyzing the data fields and composition for accuracy, and managing and reporting data status to the senior servicing analysts. Joo has been with the company since 2011. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Science and a Master’s degree in Biochemistry.
Margie McKnight Margie McKnight

Margie McKnight is responsible for data analysis on mortgage servicing rights portfolios. Ms. McKnight’s work includes software programming in Visual Basic and data analysis primarily utilizing Microsoft Access and Mainframe Data Engine. Before joining the company 16 years ago, Margie worked for National Mortgage Research. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Angelo State University.
Laurie O'Brien Laurie O'Brien, CMB

Laurie O’Brien monitors the array of trends involved with servicing residential mortgage loans and uses those trends in determining the fair value of clients’ mortgage servicing right portfolios. Ms. O’Brien joined MountainView in 2015 from Veritas Funding, where as Senior Manager of Loan Servicing she was responsible for oversight of subscriber performance in accordance with GSE and GNMA guidelines and was a team lead in establishing FNMA, FHLMC and GNMA servicing. Laurie previously worked at Colorado Housing and Finance Authority as Director of Loan Servicing, responsible for strategic planning and management of single-family and commercial servicing operations involving more than $3 billion of unpaid principal balance. She also worked at Black Knight and other predecessor companies of Fidelity Information Services for 15 years, advancing through three roles into a Service Executive, Vice President of Large Strategic Accounts position. Laurie received a BS in Human Resource Development from Medialle College in Buffalo and earned the Certified Mortgage Banker designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Michael Riley is a managing director in MountainView’s Risk Analytics group, which focuses on fixed income valuation and risk management services. In his role, Mr. Riley helps residential mortgage market participants manage risks and maximize profitability. Mike joined MountainView in 2016 from W.J. Bradley Mortgage Capital, where he managed all pipeline and mortgage servicing rights functions. He previously worked at Aurora Bank, performing MSR valuation and pipeline hedging, and at Taylor, Bean & Whitaker, where he was responsible for MSR hedging and valuation. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Washington & Lee University and a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Tufts University.

Meredith Rudden Meredith Rudden

Meredith Rudden is responsible for monitoring trends in the servicing market and applying those trends to the MSR portfolio valuations performed for clients. In this role, each month Ms. Rudden values 20-25 portfolios ranging in size from $300 million to $150 billion. Meredith has been with the company for 18 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree with a double emphasis in Marketing and International Business from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business.
Stephane Salon Stéphane Salon, CFA

Stéphane Salon is responsible for monitoring the trends associated with servicing of each type of residential mortgage loan and applying those trends to the valuation of clients’ MSR portfolios. Before joining MountainView Servicing Group in 2013, Mr. Salon was a Pricing Analyst with MountainView IPS for five years, performing valuation of prime RMBS, price verification of U.S. and European residential whole loan pools, and price verification of ABS backed by various assets, including student loans and tax liens. Stéphane previously worked at Clayton Holdings, where he served in Research Associate and Operations Analyst positions. Prior to Clayton, he worked as Senior Financial Analyst with Standard and Poor’s. Stéphane earned a Maitrise de Philosophie from Clermont-Ferrand in France, a Master of Political Science from the University of Montreal in Canada, and a Master of International Management from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. He also holds the CFA® designation from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts.

Brian Stewart assists banks and mortgage companies with their mortgage servicing rights risk management needs. Before joining MountainView in 2008, Mr. Stewart had a similar position at BB&T. Brian also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Banking and Finance from the University of North Florida, and he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and the Financial Risk Manager certification.
Jeff Zygo Jeff Zygo, FRM

Jeff Zygo is responsible for risk analysis and asset profiling of residential mortgage servicing rights. Mr. Zygo also produces industry and market research for the MountainView Risk Advisors team and clients. Prior to joining MountainView in 2012, Jeff worked at Parks Capital as Investment Coordinator, tracking investment portfolio and economic data. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Rochester Institute of Technology and a MSBA degree in Financial Risk Management from Colorado State University. Jeff is also certified as a Financial Risk Manager by the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
